General Information: Materials are loaded into our workstations and brought up to today's volume standards. Audio files are generated which are then burned to disc. (Please specify if you would prefer audio discs or data discs.)

Direct Transfer: Basic Cleaning. Standard rumble filtering, high-end filtering, level correction. Pops and ticks, etc. are as-is.

Basic Clean-Up: Direct Transfer service plus the added benefit of reduction of pops and ticks.

Advanced Restoration: Direct Transfer service plus Basic Clean-Up service plus the added benefit of a reduction of surface noise and background noise.

Remastering: All other services plus in-depth attention to each individual song and enhancing the recording to make it sound as best it can (editing, corrective equalization, compression, imaging correction, etc.). Because the level of detail required varies for each recording, please contact us about rates for this service.

Talking Dog Studios is dedicated to the task of preserving your audio
recordings with the use of our professional audio and restoration
equipment. Once your media is digitized, we can perform restoration
techniques such as cleaning and filtering, pop and click removal, hiss
removal, etc. And we will bring each song up to today’s listening volumes
to be similar to other things you listen to. Each song will get an
individual track on CD (some facilities give you a single long track for
each side of an album), for ease of listening to your favourites.

Please note:The audio transfer process is done in private. Your
materials will not be played for any third party. Upon completion, the
material is deleted from our hard drives, though it is kept in data form on
our backup system in order to easily address any problems or future
restoration you may decide on.
